The Ultragrow features a low profile and a very low heat allowing it to be placed close over the tops of plants. Placing the Ultragrow high output fluorescent fixture close to the top of plants provides a very intense, bright light over the area. The large area of light dispersal coupled with the intense light is what makes T5 high output fluorescence very comparable to the light output of a high intensity discharge (H.I.D) system like metal halide (MH) or high pressure sodium (HPS).
