    I don't spend money frivolously. My Ph meter is a cheap handheld unit. But regardless of price you have calibrate it or know its accuracy. This is the smartest way to do it. (Posted on 6/20/14)

    Always use the correct calibration solution for your meters and if you have Bluelab meter(s), these solutions are a must...

    With new meters, once a month calibration will be fine, but as the probes age, you want to clean, and calibrate them more often.
    Whenever you clean your probes you MUST calibrate the meter(s).

    NEVER dump the used calibration solution back into the bottle and always use fresh solution to assure accuracy of the calibration.
